Matt Fowler – Singer & Guitar
Matt Fowler is a touring front man and powerhouse vocalist with performances across the U.S., including the Vans Warped Tour, and international shows in the UK. As lead singer of The Tallboys and hardcore act Newhaven, he delivers commanding stage presence, top-tier musicianship, and high-energy performances that connect with any crowd. Offstage, Matt coaches vocalists at Sparks Music School in Granbury.
Peter Blackwell – Bass & Keys
Peter Blackwell is a seasoned multi-instrumentalist with decades of professional experience as a recording artist, producer, and touring musician. His credits include national radio, film soundtracks, award-winning projects, and major-label collaborations. On bass and keyboards, Peter delivers a rock-solid groove, musical depth, and polished sound that anchors The Tallboys’ high-energy live show. In addition to performing, Peter is a dedicated instructor at Sparks Music School, where he inspires and mentors students of all ages to discover their passion, confidence, and voice through music.
Ted Stripling – Drummer
A multi-instrumentalist who lives for the stage, Ted believes music is about the ride, not the finish line. Raised around music, he picked up guitar at 9, drums at 11, and was gigging by 16.
He sharpened his live edge at Berklee College of Music’s Five-Week Performance Program, performing in multiple ensembles at the final “Blow Out” concert. With a background in Tarleton State University’s percussion ensembles, Ted brings deep groove, versatility, and high-energy drive to every show.
Offstage, Ted shares his passion for music as an instructor at Sparks Music School in Granbury, inspiring the next generation of musicians.
Tommy “Ace” Murphy
Tommy “Ace” Murphy is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter with over 20 years of live performance experience. Known for powerful lead work, strong songwriting, and high-energy shows, he’s played in bands across multiple genres nationwide. Ace is the lead guitarist for The Tallboys and Newhaven, delivering gritty tone, melodic hooks, and seasoned stage presence. As a secondary vocalist for The Tallboys, his harmonies add depth and drive to their vintage rock and country sound.
